Nominations for COG's Annual Awards

It's time once again for COG Members to nominate your outstanding peers and partners! The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments will honor outstanding regional accomplishments at COG's 2012 Annual Membership and Awards Luncheon on December 12 at the Marriott Metro Center in Washington, DC. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, November 20 at 5:00 p.m.

Nominations are being accepted in two categories:

  1. Elizabeth and David Scull Metropolitan Service Award
    This award honors COG Members (local, state or federal elected officials) for outstanding contributions to our region. The Scull award symbolizes excellence in regional service while in public office. Check eligibility or nominate now.

  2. Regional Partnership Award
    This award is given to organizations or companies support of COG's programs or policies. The partnership award focuses attention on businesses, nonprofits, foundations or community partnership organizations that have worked in cooperation with COG to improve the quality of life for all who live in our region. Check eligibility or nominate now.

Note: Only COG Members are permitted to submit nominations.

Selection Procedure

Recipients will be chosen by a confidential selection committee appointed by the COG Board Chair. To maintain impartiality and integrity, the names of the reviewers will not be made public until the awards are presented. For additional assistance and questions, call 202-962-3214.
