Street Light Vendor's Forum
On October 20, 2009 COG is hosting a street lights vendor forum. The goal of the forum is to educate and provide the Metropolitan Washington area with options for new and advanced street lights technology. The forum will demonstrate the advancements in energy-efficient street lighting technology. Over 75 of the regions elected officials, environmental managers, financial and procurement analysts, lighting engineers, utility providers and major users of outdoor lighting, including universities and hospitals are expected to attend. Discussion topics include:
- The role of new lighting technology
- A look at lighting legislation – EPACT 2005, EISA 2007 and 2009 Energy Bill
- Local government and municipal case studies
