Search Projects in the 2012 CLRP & FY 2013-2018 TIP
This database contains information on those transportation projects currently planned
and/or programmed for development in the Metropolitan Washington planning area, from
the present through 2040. Projects are either programmed in the TIP or planned in the
CLRP.
The CLRP (Financially Constrained Long-Range Plan) includes all “regionally signifi cant”
highway, transit and High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV), bicycle and pedestrian projects, and
studies that the TPB realistically anticipates can be implemented by 2040. Some of these
projects are scheduled for completion in the next few years, while others will be completed
much later.
The TIP (Transportation Improvement Program) is a 6-year financial program that
describes the schedule for obligating federal funds to state and local projects. The TIP
contains funding information for all modes of transportation including highways and HOV
as well as transit capital and operating costs. Projects in the TIP represent a subset of the
projects included in the CLRP. State, regional and local transportation agencies update
the TIP each year to reflect priority projects in the CLRP that will enter construction in the
short-term.
