Emergency Medical Services Subcommittee - Description

Mission:

            The mission of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Subcommittee is to bring all the participating EMS agencies together to collaboratively expand the knowledge, and partnerships of each individual EMS Division.  To better understand the strengths of each individual EMS division and to share those strengths regionally to enhance patient care and the effectiveness of EMS delivery.

Scope:

            The EMS Subcommittee consistently works to enhance training opportunities and share available resources for special events or large scale incidents.  Additionally, the EMS Subcommittee shares information and works to understand the available resources within the region and enhance those resources where they fall short in an effort to ensure effective and quality patient care throughout the Metropolitan Washington area.
