TPB Priorities Plan Scoping Task Force - Description

On July 21, 2010, the TPB voted to form a task force to determine the scope and process for developing a Regional Transportation Priorities Plan.

The task force has four scheduled meetings: October 20, 2010; December 15, 2010; February 16, 2011; and April 20, 2011.  The task force is scheduled to finalize its recommendations at its meeting on April 20.  It is expected that the task force recommendations will be presented to the TPB in May for review and discussion.  TPB approval would be scheduled for June. 

The task force has been formed as follow-up to an event the TPB held on May 26, 2010 called the "Conversation on Setting Regional Transportation Priorities," which addressed regional transportation challenges, opportunities, and possibilities for enhancing the process of setting and implementing regional priorities.  The impetus for that event was a request by the TPB’s Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) for the TPB to develop a “Regional Priorities Plan” that would serve as a financially unconstrained regional vision for transportation investment.
