![]() Description | Events Calendar | Documents | Past Documents | Member List Community Forestry Network Committee - Description The Community Forestry Network (CFN) was officially organized at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) in 1991. One of the goals of the CFN is to provide a framework for discussions and activities for COG member governments and other interested parties which are developing solutions to urban and community forestry problems in the Washington metropolitan area. CFN reaches its membership, which includes foresters, landscape architects, engineers, planners, arborists, citizens, and others, through workshops, seminars, presentations, field trips, and publications. CFN is currently chaired by Todd Bolton, City Forester, City of Takoma Park, Maryland. Staff support is provided by Brian M. LeCouteur of COG's Department of Environmental Programs.
