For Employers

In 2005 Commuter Connections offered three unique Telework workshops to help both public and private sector employers maximize their Telework programs. Below are presentations from each of those workshops:

Workshop A
"Managing Teleworkers and Remote Teams"

Designed for managers and telework program administrators who want to maximize their organization's telework program for themselves, their employees and their teams.

Make telework work for you:

  • Acknowledge and address common perceptions and objections to telework
  • Establish a telework strategy customized to your business needs
  • Assess jobs, individuals, and technology tools to ensure teleworker productivity
  • Practice results-based performance management

Workshop B
"Choosing and Using the Right Telework Technology"

Designed for telework program managers, supervisors, and teleworkers who wish to know more about the fundamentals of today's technology solutions. This workshop offers an impartial look at vailable telework technologies and is not an endorsement of any particular systems or brands.

Learn the terminology, and make the business case for the technology your users need:

  • Follow a process to analyze user capabilities and business needs within your organization, to identify the best technology solution for each kind of teleworker
  • Consider strategies for budgeting and procurement
  • Address the keys to success for your implementation plan

Workshop C
"Training Your Teleworkers for Anywhere, Anytime Performance"
Designed for training coordinators and telework
program managers who wish to create their own
in-house curriculum for teleworkers and their
managers.

Reduce the time and cost of customized training:
Learn how to build effective training around your organization's unique telework
objectives and policies
Create strategies to address manager resistance, integrated with key program elements
Take home the fundamental content for a
curriculum that will help you develop successful
managers, teleworkers, and virtual teams
