SmartBike DC Presentation Wednesday, March 3rd

The District Department of Transportation is excited to bring to Washington DC the first self-service public bike rental program. SmartBike DC is a new and alternative transportation network that uses the latest technologies to facilitate user access and is structured to enhance the city's public transportation system. Presentation of program by Chris Holben, Bicycle Program Specialist with the D.C. Department of Transportation District of Columbia. Also attending is Chris Eatough, Bike Arlington Program Manager who will discuss the evolution of BikeSharing in Arlington.

 


National Bike Summit 2010 March 9-11, 2010 Washington, D.C.

Bicycling advocates will be gathering from all over the country to attend the annual National Bike Summit, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. WABA supports the Summit by providing a home stay alternative for the advocates.

DC PARK(ing) Day - September 18, 2009

This annual event, held nationally is a demonstration to raise awareness of how much of the public realm is dedicated to cars.
