Putting the LID on Stormwater Management

For those of you attending the LID Conference from outside the metropolitan Washington area, rooms have been reserved in the name of MWCOG at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center – Marriott. Visit the Marriott site to reserve a room at the conference. The Group Code is LIDLIDA. The rate is $119 per night.

The Inn and Conference Center is located in College Park at 3501 University Blvd E Adelphi, MD 20740, Phone: 301-985-7300 Fax: 301-985-7850. Rooms are guaranteed at the $119 rate until September 10, 2004. Marriott has several other hotels in the area and staff at the Inn and Conference Center can assist you if they become fully booked for the conference dates. The Greenbelt Marriott is located at 6400 Ivy Lane Greenbelt, MD 20770, Phone: 301-441-3700 Fax: 301-441-3995, will provide shuttle transportation to the conference on a daily basis for those guests who are registered for the conference and staying at their facility. Other Marriott owned hotels in the Greenbelt/College Park area will offer similar arrangements, but must be arranged beforehand.

Airports convenient to the Inn and Conference Center are Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) and Ronald Reagan National Airports. Dulles International Airport is also an option, but it is the furthest from the Conference site. BWI offers a metro shuttle to the DC metro station at New Carrolton, Maryland or a direct limo ride can be arranged through one of the following companies.

If flying into Reagan National, the DC Metrorail can take you to the Greenbelt station and the Conference Center is two miles from the Metro station stop. Taxi cabs will run around $5 dollars from the Metro station to the Inn and Conference Center.
