COG Launches Newly Redesigned Web Site The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, (COG), launched its newly redesigned Web site March 3.  The new Web site, www.mwcog.org, will allow easier access to information about COG programs and provide more resources to the site's users. "Our goal was to create a more welcoming and user friendly tool for our member jurisdictions and the general public," said COG's interim executive director, David Robertson.  "COG has an expansive body of information resources that we wanted to make more navigable and accessible to the Internet community." In addition to its new graphic identity, the COG Web site now features a flash introduction with the government seals of its 18 member jurisdictions.  A "clickable" regional map takes users to links with each of the members' Web sites. "Roll-over menus" provide improved navigation throughout the data-intensive site.  The new site also includes an interactive calendar of meetings, conferences and events and a database of COG's many policy committees and subcommittees with agendas and other documents.
