|WTOP Story Highlights COG Workshop on Local Impacts of Climate Change
COG hosted a workshop on May 21, 2012 on planning for the local impacts of climate change. It focused on water, land use, and transportation planning implications of potential changes in precipitation patterns, sea level rise, flooding, and water quality in metropolitan Washington. The workshop was a continuation of COGís focus on tracking the regionís progress towards meeting its climate and energy goals and helping metropolitan Washington adapt to the effects of climate change.
