Census 2000 ReportsThe Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) provides local governments staff and the public with convenient access to in-depth Census data for the region and will publish a continuing series of analyses of Census 2000 data. Highlighted here are the first five issues of Our Changing Region, a newsletter summarizing the first information released from Census 2000. They are the first in a series of publications that will focus on what Census 2000 reveals about the COG region. You may download the reports from COG's online Publications. During the years following the 2000 Census, the Census Bureau released several Census 2000 data products. The content and geographic detail of each Census data file varies depending upon whether or not the information was collected from the Census "short form" (questions that were asked of all households) or "long form" ( more detailed questions asked of one of every six households). COG will prepare summary newsletters, and in-depth reports from each Census 2000 data file.
