Enhanced Mobility Programs

The Federal Transit Administration's (FTA's) Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program (Section 5310) provides funding for transportation for people with disabilities and older adults who have difficulty using public transit or need improved access to it. COG is the Designated Recipient for this program for the Washington DC-VA-MD Urbanized Area and the program provides approximately $2.8 million annually in matching grants for non-profit organizations, local governments, transit agencies, and private for-profit providers.
