Broadband Task Force Will Research Internet Accessibility

Jan 23, 2005
During its meeting in January, the COG Board of Directors voted to create a Broadband Task Force that will advise elected officials on regional and local broadband policy initiatives and best practices.

The task force will seek ways to expand telework options for employers, and to address internet accessibility as a critical component of economic development.

"The predicted growth for this region by 2030 requires us to consider new technologies and ideas that would help us prepare for increasing congestion on our roadways and in our communities," said former Board Chair J Davis.
