Summary

In 2024, COG was awarded a $3.5 million Pathways to Remove Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) grant from the U.S. Housing of Urban Development. To expand housing supply, PRO Housing incentivizes housing-forward actions to further develop, evaluate, and implement housing policy plans; address restrictive zoning or land use; improve housing strategies; and facilitate affordable housing production and preservation. COG’s PRO Housing grant will advance strategies to expand access to fair housing choice, increase affordable housing supply particularly in areas that have historically lacked such housing, and implement policies designed to preserve affordable housing.
