For more than a year, 19 nonprofits in the region have been working together to improve nonprofit coordination in emergency preapredness.  The Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington invites you to a special event on June 29 to learn about the outcomes from this important region-wide project, which was funded by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security which was administered by DC's Homeland Security Grants Administration.

Emergency preparedness is an issue that affects everyone in our community, and we all know that nonprofits play a critical role during emergency response and recovery.  This is your opportunity to hear from the experts, including:

Keynote speaker Tom Lockwood, the Director of the Department of Homeland Security's Office for National Capital Region Coordination

Nonprofit representatives from New York, Oklahoma City, and the Washington region, who will share best practices in nonprofit emergency preparedness.

Representatives from Greater Washington's nonprofit emergency preparedness project, who will give you an insider's perspective on the National Capital Region's approach to nonprofit emergency preparedness.

We hope you will be able to join us from 10:30am to 2:00 pm on June 29.  The event will be held at Bank of America at 730 15th Street, NW, Washington, DC  20005 (across the Treasury Building).  Lunch will be served.  This is a secure building and an RSVP is required by June 25.  To RSVP for the meeting, please contact Elliot Harkavy, our Nonproift Planning Coordinator, at eharkaby@eghassociates.com
