About the Speaker:
Dr. Avram H. Mack is a psychiatrist at Georgetown University School of Medicine where he is an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry and also the director of medical student education. Dr. Mack's interests and expertise covers general adult psychiatry, child & adolescent psychiatry, and "forensic" psychiatry, which includes correctional and judicial settings. Over the past 2 years Dr. Mack and a group at Georgetown have been involved with a detailed analysis of the interactions between the severely mentally ill and the justice system in the District of Columbia.
