The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and the District of Columbia’s Office of Early Childhood Development Request the Honor of Your Presence at the First Annual Higher Education Scholarship Program Reunion. Please come and celebrate the Higher Education Scholarship Program in fellowship with old classmates and mentors and meet new colleagues at HESP’s first fundraiser. The evening will include great food, wonderful company, a silent auction and guest speaker, Barbara Kamara. The Higher Education Scholarship Project (HESP), founded in 1995, provides professional development opportunities for child care providers who wish to obtain an advanced degree in early childhood education. HESP allows participants the opportunity to receive tuition-free college-level education and training. HESP was developed by COG to improve the quality of child care in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.
