Ardent Sentry 09 is designed to train N and NC in homeland security processes with an emphasis on Defense Support of Civil Authorities.  Interaction with multiple states (IA, KS, MO, and NE for VIGILANT GUARD... biological events (National Planning Scenarios #13, Food Contamination and #14, Foreign Animal Disease); CO and WY for NUWAIX...FTX events at Tactical/First Responder level.

As 09 is not linked to National Level Exercise 09 but is a National Exercise Program Tier III exercise
