Elizabeth and David Scull Metropolitan Service Award

Eligibility

This award will be presented to a local, state or federal elected official serving a COG member jurisdiction. The recipient will be selected on the basis of one or more outstanding contributions to the well-being of the Washington area. The award will be for a demonstrated contribution and not merely for length of service at COG or another regional organization. The selection committee is free to recommend that no award be presented if it feels none is justified in a particular year. Because the purpose of the award is to encourage outstanding service as well as to recognize it, recipients will not be eligible to receive the award a second time.
