United for Jobs, part of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments' Workforce Competitiveness Initiative, is focusing on careers in health because we recognize that many of the occupations projected to grow the fastest in our economy are concentrated in the healthcare industry. The event will build on existing health-related workforce initiatives across the region and offer an avenue to identify opportunities for enhanced collaboration and capacity building.

United for Jobs will identify regional strategies and solutions to address health care industry labor shortages; identify opportunities to leverage federal funding in support of these strategies; and develop meaningful and sustainable partnerships.
