The National Capitol Region (NCR) is committed to maintaining robust emergency preparedness in the region. One particular area where the region needs to review policies and procedures is mass fatality management. The NCR has recognized the need to convene relevant mass fatality stakeholders in a workshop to collaborate and discuss such issues as information sharing, resource allocation, inter-jurisdictional and inter-state coordination, and regional collaboration.

Proposals shall be submitted by no later than 2:00 p.m. on August 6 , 2014

RFP 15-004 Energy Exercise
Date Posted: 7/21/2014 Closing Date: 8/4/2014
The purpose of this project is to develop and conduct up to three (3) regional energy emergency workshops/seminars and a regional Tabletop Exercise. The focus of the workshops/seminars and the follow-on tabletop exercise would be to discuss and exercise regional responses to a severe and prolonged energy emergency in the electricity sector (e.g., grid failure, black start) and the cascading effects such an emergency would have. Particular attention would be paid to the issues impacting the effectiveness of federal, state, local, and regional responses, and effects on other lifeline infrastructures (e.g., water/wastewater, communications, and transportation), as well as the pivotal role that private sector energy suppliers have in energy provisioning and restorations.
Proposals shall be submitted by no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014.
