MWAQC Comment Policy

MWAQC Public Comment Period Policy

MWAQC will dedicate a period of time (fifteen minutes) before each MWAQC meeting for public comment by interested citizens and groups on air quality issues under consideration by the Committee. Each speaker must sign up to speak in person no later than 12 p.m. the day of the meeting. They must state their name, organization represented, address and phone number. The Chair will recognize each speaker, and the speaker will be allowed to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes. If there are more than five people signed up to speak, the Chair will determine how much time will be allotted each speaker. The public comment period will be subject to evaluation at the end of six months from the date of the policy's approval by MWAQC (March 2001).
