Energy Efficiency and New Technologies

Energy efficiency and new technology are essential ingredients in lowering energy cost in buildings. The objectives of this program area are to (1) identify ways to use energy more wisely in municipal buildings and (2) illustrate the role that new technology will play in our energy future. New technologies to be explored are: distributed energy, combined heat and power renewal energy, solar capping, energy grid reliability, turbines, and power outage prevention.
