Green BuildingChesapeake Bay Foundation Tour - Water System The building consumes about a third of the water used by a typical office structure. A solar system provides all of the hot water. Rain water catchment cisterns provide all of the water for non-potable uses, such as fire suppression and hand washing; a standard water system supplies kitchens and showers. The composting toilet system requires no water. Click on image for larger view.
