Community Engagement Campaign

Come Celebrate With Us!

When: October 2, 2014 from 11:00am-2:00pm

Where: The Park at CityCenter (I Street NW between 10th and 11th Streets) Washington, DC

Join your local water utilities for this free, fun-filled event will feature local food vendors, hands-on activities, giveaways and the always-popular ‘water bar.’ ¬†Entertainment will be provided by the District-based band, Levi Stephens and the Working Class. Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and event organizers will lead a “toast to tap water” to celebrate the importance of safe water in our community.

The Community Engagement Campaign (CEC) is a partnership between COG and regional water supply and wastewater members whose mission is to engage the citizens of the National Capital Region in wise water use and source water protection, via public messaging. This partnership shares water information with the COG region through a variety of media sources. The four focus areas for the CEC outreach campaigns are:
