Fairfax County Department of Public Works
Water Quality Program
The Fairfax County Department of Public Works monitors the water quality of Gunston Cove, Accotink Bay, Pohick Bay and Pohick Creek in the vicinity of the Noman M. Cole Jr. Pollution Control Plant. Monitoring is conducted monthly from November through March and twice a month from April through October.
