Your Water Supply

  • Water Source

  • Leesburg gets its water from the town's own water service system, which draws mainly from the Potomac River at an intake 30 miles upstream from Chain Bridge. The town also draws some water from wells.

  • Water Treatment

  • Water is treated at the town's Kenneth B. Rollins Water Treatment Plant on the Potomac River, just east of town. The plant can treat 5 million gallons a day (mgd) and is in the process of expanding its capacity to 10 mgd.

  • Water Quality

  • Read the Consumer Confidence Report in PDF format through the town's website, or call 703-771-2750 to get a copy.
