The Manassas water system is operated by the City of Manassas Department of Utilities (DU).
The Manassas DU gets water from Lake Manassas. Their intake is located at T. Nelson Elliott Dam on Broad Run.
Water is treated in the city's own water treatment plant, which has the capacity to treat 14 million gallons a day (mgd).
