Training

The Office of Human Resources Management, in partnership with supervisors and management, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a variety of general training and staff development efforts. As a part of COG's commitment to continuously offer a learning envrionment for everyone, training and staff development programs are available both in-house or through attendance in outside workshops, conferences and training programs.  

COG also offers tuition assistance and supports involvement in professional association.  At this time, OHRM is working on a comprehensive training plan to address training needs at individual, departmental and COG-wide basis. In partnership with the George Washington University, private and other learning institutions, COG has a regional training program called the Institute for Regional Excellence.
