Metropolitan Washington Area ITS ArchitectureThe National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board has created a regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architecture in accordance with federal law and regulation. The ITS Architecture describes existing and potential data exchange and systems integration opportunities for transportation technical systems among the Washington region's transportation and related agencies. The regional architecture was developed under the guidance of the TPB's Management, Operations, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (MOITS) Task Force and the MOITS ITS Architecture Working Group. The regional architecture conforms to the January 8, 2001 Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Final Architecture Rule and Federal Transit Agency (FTA) Policy. The following files constitute the Regional ITS Architecture and can be downloaded individually or in one Zip file.
