Regional Bicycle & Pedestrian PrioritiesEvery year, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Subcommittee selects a list of top priority unfunded bicycle and pedestrian projects. At its September 16, 2008 meeting the Subcommittee approved the most recent list. Previous lists were adopted in December 2007, and December 2006. The list is a statement of priorities among the unfunded or partially funded bicycle and pedestrian projects from local, state, agency, and regional plans. The list will be forwarded to the Transportation Planning Board with the recommendation of the Subcommittee that these projects should be funded in the FY 2010-15 Transportation Improvement Program. The ten priority projects are:
The Subcommittee's previous priority list was submitted in December, 2007. One of the projects from that list, the Falls Road Shared-Use Path in Montgomery County, received full funding totaling $5,000,000. Four projects on the 2007 list received have received partial funding, totaling $2,870,000, since December 2007.
