TERMs
Transportation Emission Reduction MeasuresTransportation Emission Reduction Measures (TERMs) are strategies or actions that the TPB can employ to offset increases in nitrogen oxide (NOx) and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from mobile sources. All TERMs are intended to reduce either the number of vehicle trips (VT), vehicle miles traveled (VMT), or both. These strategies may include ridesharing and telecommuting programs, improved transit and bicycling facilities, clean fuel vehicle programs or other possible actions. An evaluation of current TERMs is provided in the Emissions Estimates and Transportation Emission Reduction Measures (TERMs) for the 2006 CLRP and the FY 2007-2012 TIP.
