Firestine, Peacor Win IRE Leadership Awards

IRE Inspiring Award Winner and Prince William County Executive Melissa Peacor, COG Office of Human Resource Management Director Imelda Roberts, IRE Advisory Board Chair and Takoma Park Mayor Bruce Williams, IRE Visionary Leadership Award Winner and Montgomery County CAO Tim Firestine, Fairfax County Vice Chairman Penny Gross, and COG Senior Director Stuart Freudberg

Tim Firestine, Montgomery County’s Chief Administrative Officer received the 2013 Visionary Leadership Award from COG's Institute for Regional Excellence (IRE) during a graduation ceremony on October 25. The prize recognizes top government officials for their outstanding contributions to the region and their home jurisdictions.

Melissa Peacor, Prince William County Executive, was selected by the IRE cohort of students to win the Inspiring Leader Award.
