TPB Kicks Off 50th Anniversary Celebration

Area officials gathered on November 18 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Transportation Planning Board (TPB). The TPB was created in 1965 by the region's local and state governments to respond to federal highway legislation requiring the establishment of a "continuing, comprehensive and coordinated" transportation planning process in every urbanized area in the country. The anniversary celebration will continue at the COG Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on December 9.
