WHAT: First Annual Clean Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Expo: Setting the Direction for Advanced Technologies and Fuels in the Washington-Baltimore Region, sponsored by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ (COG) and the Maryland Energy Administration’s Clean Cities Programs.

BACKGROUND:
The Metropolitan Washington Alternative Fuels Clean Cities Partnership is a public private group organized and coordinated by COG. Membership includes local government and private fleet managers; area utilities and other alternative fuel interests; nonprofit environmental and advocacy organizations; federal and state governments; and academia. The primary goal of the Partnership is to encourage and accelerate the use if alternative fueled vehicles (AFVs) in the metropolitan Washington region as a means of promoting energy security and improving environmental quality.
