Washington Area Housing PartnershipEstablished in 1991, the Washington Area Housing Partnership (visit their website: www.wahpdc.org) is a regional public-private housing partnership that acts as a catalyst to preserve and expand the supply of affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families in the metropolitan area. The Partnership acts as a convener of regional leaders and stakeholders, as researcher and reporter on local housing policies, as provider of technical assistance to non-profit organizations and local governments, and as advocate for the expansion of affordable housing opportunities across the region. Although the Partnership has its own by-laws and board of directors, it is housed within and enjoys the full support of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. The Washington Area Housing Partnership recently published the Toolkit for Affordable Housing Development. To download a copy of the Toolkit and find additional information about the document, please click here. Membership Benefits Partnership members receive free copies of Partnership reports and newsletters, have the opportunity to participate in Partnership board and other meetings, and can attend Partnership events at reduced rates.
