National Advocacy Summit: The Challenge to CareTo assist caregivers in becoming better child welfare advocates, members of the National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) in partnership with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) are presenting this two-day legislative and public policy summit on October 29 and 30, 2004 in Washington, DC. The National Advocacy Summit will educate foster parents about issues that impact their ability to care for traumatized children. It will also provide in-depth advocacy training that will help them become effective voices in their communities and partners in the development of local and national child welfare policy.
