NACT0/AASHTO Bike Guide Workshop

Monday, July 13, 2026
9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments will host an in-person, full-day workshop designed to provide practitioners with a strong understanding of recent design guidance for pedestrians and bicyclists, including PROWAG, the AASHTO Bike Guide, the NACTO Bike Guide, and relevant content from the 11th Edition of the MUTCD. The workshop will include group exercises that encourage attendees to apply what they’ve learned while discussing the challenges and opportunities associated with real-world conditions. AICP credits and self-reported Professional Engineering PDHs will be offered. This comprehensive workshop will be led by Jeremy Chrzan, PE, PTOE, LEED AP, Multimodal Design Practice Lead at Toole Design. Jeremy has led pedestrian accessibility trainings for agencies around the country, served as the lead engineer for the AASHTO Bike Guide, a contributor for the NACTO Bike Guide, and serves on the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and the Bicycle Technical Committee, which recommends proposed changes to the MUTCD.
