America Recycles Day

About America Recycles Day 2007
The tenth annual national America Recycles Day (ARD) is Thursday, November 15, 2007. Local governments in the Washington metropolitan area will be promoting ARD at several events in October and November, such as the Recycle Right Contest. Flyers at these events will allow Washingtonians to pledge to recycle, which will enter them into a drawing for local prizes. You can also pledge on-line.

The theme of this year's event is "It All Comes Back to You." The goal of America Recycles Day is to build consumer demand for recycled products and to educate all Americans about the environmental and economic benefits of recycling. We want to make consumers aware of the importance of "Buying Recycled."
