Course Description

The Madrid subway bombing in Mrch 2004 has shown a need for coordination and expertise among firs responders during major transit incidents.  The purpose of this training is to provide a more orderly response to major service disruptions by improving the passenger evacuation process and managing the extreme level of pedestrian and traffic congestion that are associated with Metro emergencies.  This awareness - level course focuses on:

Emergency management concepts

Response to weapons of mass destruction

Evacuations

Emergency traffic control

All regional fire and rescue, EMS, law enforcement, Department of Transportation and Metro operations personnel are encouraged to participate.
