Course Description

The London subway bombing has shown a need for coordination and expertise among first responders during major transis incidents.  the purpose of this training is to provide a more orderly response to major service disruptions by improving the passenger evacuation process and managing the extreme leve of pedestrian and traffic congestion that are associated with metro emergencies.  This awareness - level course focuses on:

Metro's impact on the National Capital Region

the nature of metro emergencies

Emergency management concepts

Respons to weapons of mass destruction

Evacuations

Emergency traffic control.

All regional fire and rescue, EMS, law enforcement, Department of transportatkion and Metro operations personnel are encouraged to participate.
