Purpose:

The seminar will overview the use of route optimization technology for emergency management logistics planning and during an event. The experience for the SNS will be showcased. Other applications for shelter stockpile and commodity distributions will be presented. Topics will include:

 -Routing needs for emergency management

-scenario planning for various types of events

-Modifying plans in a real event

-FEMA and 3PL cost assessment

-Data needs and set-up "on-the-fly"

-Integration with evacuation/emergency plans

-Integration with asset management and work order systems

-Integration with GPS/AVL systems and GPS navigators
