Participants:  VECTOR Reps; Representatives from Hampton Roads Are (Norfolk and VA Beach) as well as representatives from IN-land host jurisdictions.

Purpose:  Discuss the Commonwealth's plans and identify courses of action to support the evacuation and sheltering of a large population prior to a hurricane impacting the east coast. (TTX); Determine requirements to locate, acquire, and plan for the distribution and accounting of critical personnel, facilities and material in support of the response. (TTX); Verify the procedures to coordinate and to share critical information with jurisdictions and provide emergency information to the media and the public.  (TTX); Examine and discuss the integrated coordination efforts, communications and response capabiliteis between hospital, Health and Emergency Management entitites in response to a hurricane affecting hospital operations. (TTX); Assess the ability of the Department of Social Services in coordination with the VECTOR to support the evacuation and conduct sheltering of a designated number of displaced person. (D) Demonstrate the Commonwealth's ability to conduct mass care operations during a major weather event. (D);  Assess the ability of the joint information center to provide emergency information to the media and to the public. (D)
