Area Leaders, Experts Meet in Silver Spring for Conference on Preventing and Eliminating Gangs

From September 25-28, the Metropolitan Washington Gang Conference brought together local and national gang experts, elected officials, law enforcement officers, and youth advocates.

The regional conference, sponsored by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Montgomery County, COG’s Corrections Chiefs Committee, and Securiguard Incorporated, covered a range of topics, including Gang Trends in National Capital Region, Social Media and Gangs, and Prevention and Recovery.
