The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) recently submitted a grant application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for funding to help jump start implementation of Region Forward and accelerate realization of RF goals.

The multi-sector multi-jurisdictional Sustainable Communities Grant Program is a partnership between HUD the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Environmental Protection Agency. Staff from many of COG’s departments including Community Planning Transportation Environment and Health worked together to put together the application.
