Leadership Programs

The Institute for Regional Excellence (IRE) is a partnership between COG and The George Washington University offering a graduate-level Certified Public Manager training program for mid- to senior-level managers in area governments. The year-long program assists managers in dealing with the challenges of providing services and meeting the needs of residents in a growing metropolitan area.

The Community Leadership Institute (CLI) is an educational program of the TPB that encourages community leaders to get involved in transportation-related decision-making at all levels. CLI is a course of two interrelated workshops that includes information about the various planning processes at the state, regional, and local levels.
